HRB WORKSHOP

We are inviting researchers, policy makers, practitioners and people with lived experience of social exclusion to share current research activities and discuss potential future research projects in Inclusion Health on Friday December 10th from 10-1pm!

Hosted by Quality Matters, the workshop will ask participants to map out existing research activity and use this as a basis to identify gaps and research priorities. At the end of the day a research agenda for Inclusion Health in Ireland will be agreed. This will be shared with relevant groups to support streamlined and collaborative efforts to address these research priorities.

The aim is to support the development of the Inclusion Health Research Network, specifically, to support research efforts to develop a research database, to plan and deliver a collaborative workshop, and to clarify the Terms of Reference for the network. This network currently exists in the form of an emailing list and occasional knowledge sharing workshops.

A shared database will be developed to document current research in inclusion health in Ireland. The purpose of this database is to:

  1. Document current research in inclusion health
  2. Identify gaps in current research in inclusion health
  3. Support knowledge generation bodies (Universities, NGOs etc.) to prioritise research endeavours based on priorities and gaps identified through the database
  4. To reduce duplication of research efforts and ensure optimal use of research efforts in relation to target groups
  5. Provide researchers with opportunities to identify potential collaborations, synergies etc. in relation to inclusion health research
